Instructional Constructions

James Theatre

This projects questions the role of drawing as a mean of communication and construction.

In one light instructional architectural drawing provides the appearance of multiple intentions, linked through specific elements in response to physical constraints, a composition of components, actions, locations and relationships. As equally design, construction, manufacture, and assembly can be seen as technical methods whose correctness lies in the functioning of the object, not its abstract logic and results in a subjective experience whose drawn text or analytical structural models are independent of scale and material and codify analytical statics

This design applies digital modelling to express how sense and space can be assembled or constructed. The understanding of parametric modelling was one of the main key in this project.

James theatre was a landmark of Auckland but in nowadays people do not give ant interests to it. Through this project I wanted to show how the old James theatre can become a modern classic architecture in Auckland city. My design contains multi lines and curves, every elements of my design is influenced from the interior of the theatre, theatre contains almighty interior space. My design contains sense of natural environment to bring fresh contrasted atmosphere to James theatre and it is placed at outdoor to give welcoming environment to the public.
